Star Parties
At our Star Parties, we welcome visitors to our facility to learn about our equipment and ongoing research.
In addition to the latest NASA updates, the events feature door prizes, snacks and tours of the center.
Observation Nights
Please note that observation nights are canceled through the spring semester due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On clear Saturday nights, the center opens after sunset from around 8pm to around 11:30pm for observation with small telescopes (C-8 inch, C-11 inch) and/or the main telescope.
Observation is dependent upon clear weather - no rain or heavy clouds. Check the Clear Sky Chart and look up to see if the stars are out before coming to the center.
